Display the Print Results button after 2nd failure of quiz

Aug 22, 2018

I've been asked to add the "print results" button to the failure feedback layer only after a learner has failed the 2nd try of a 15 question quiz.

I think the way to make it work is through a variable (not sure if it should be a number or True/False).  However, I'm still a bit confused about how to use variables.

Is it possible to accomplish what I' m trying to do?

Right now, we are using the print results button to capture learner responses to the quiz when they successfully complete the quiz on the first try.   Main reason is to see what questions might have to be scraped.

However, capturing results after failing a quiz two times is something new.

any help, suggestion or comments  are greatly appreciated.

Hey Heather!

Yes, you can absolutely accomplish that! Here's how:

  1. Follow the steps in this tutorial to limit the quiz to two attempts.
  2. Add a Print Results button to the Results Slide.
  3. Set the initial state of the Print button to Hidden.
  4. Add this trigger to the Results Slide: Change state of Print Results button to Normal when the timeline starts on the Results slide on condition that Attempts = 2

Give it a go, and let me know if you need any help along the way!
