Does SL 3 have robo-voices yet? I have SL 360 on my personal computer but my work computer is using SL3. Love the voices in 360 and was wondering if they are available in SL3.
I saw you posted in a few different places, so I can imagine that this feature is really important to you!
At this time, Text to speech is a feature exclusive to Storyline 360. One of the biggest benefits to Articulate 360 as a subscription service is that that we are continually adding new features. Storyline 3 will continue to receive updates based on bugs or issues resolved, but Storyline 360 will always be the most up to date version.
Thanks for the response. But I work for a corporation and have no say in what software. They purchase SL3 and that's what we use.
Personally, I do own 360 and have used the feature but my subscription is up for renewal and I'll either switch to SL 3 (cheaper) or back to Captivate (cheaper & monthly subscription). Since I only use Storyline, occasionally Engage and the Content Review tool, I can't justify the price for my occasional freelance customers. I'll miss the Content Review tool but...
Thanks,

Let us know if there's anything else we can help with!
I realise the thrust of the company is behind 360, but we only will ever use SL3, this was a massive investment for us, so we have no intention of upgrading, and like all the other SL3 users, I feel somewhat let-down that there are no new features for this product. TTS is a feature that should be available across the product range. In terms of generating any kind of company loyalty, this strategy falls far short of supporting your core customers. Very disappointed in this inclusive vision for 360 at the expense of SL3.
I agree with Helen. It is very disappointing that Articulate is not continuing to update SL3. 360 is just not economically feasible for our company. It also seems to have too many bugs.
Storyline 3 continues to receive updates for fixes in the tool, as you'll see noted in our version history here the most recent update was August 2018.
We'll let folks know if new features are also added to Storyline 3, but at this time Text to Speech is still a feature exclusive to Storyline 360.
Ashley, any changes to this feature. Still very disappointed at Storylines cavalier attitude to their customers. The Subscription model is prohibitive in our company and a cost I cannot justify.
Hi, Helen. We currently don't have plans to add text-to-speech to Storyline 3. I did a quick search and found a compilation of text-to-speech solutions for e-learning pros:

Hi there, Karen! I'd be happy to find the answer to this for you 🌟
I wanted to first double-check on where you're hoping to locate this voice in Storyline 3? Please let me know which version you are using, as well!
I'll be standing by!
Text to Speech is a 360 feature it hasn't been added to Storyline 3
Will it be added to Storyline3? This is a fairly basic feature in authoring software, I have no intention of upgrading to 360.
