double background image

Sometimes I get a double image for my background. It's the same image as my background in a screen recroding only smaller. When I first started noticing this the problem would seem to appear at random but I noticed after duplicating a slide that the double image appeared. I've been able to remove the extra image by deleting the screen casting from the timeline but I'm curious as why this happening in the first place. I've attached a screen shot.
