Drag and drop functionality lost

Nov 20, 2012

I've been working on a large project that uses the drag and drop quiz type.  I had problems saving the file due to low memory and now I've lost the drag and drop functionality.  Everything looks like it's there and properly formatted, but it only recognizes one of the 24 objects that are part of the quiz.

Hi Kate,

I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty you're having with this project. You mentioned that you had problems saving "due to low memory". What happened there? Did the program crash?

This might sound overly simple, but have you tried restarting the computer? If you received any messages about low memory, try to make sure that you don't have a lot of other programs running in the background.

If you've tried restarting and the quiz still isn't functioning properly, please submit a support case with us. Please also include your.story with the case, this will help us diagnose the issue. And, if you can, please share your case number with me, so I can follow the progress of the case.

Thanks!

I think I've figured out when the problem is occuring.   I restored the drop boxes and re-assigned them to the objects and everything worked fine until I deleted the Object trigger for the Continue button on the Incorrect layer (I left the one to hide the layer) so that the user could review what objects were mis-identified (I'm using the Drop Correct state) before continuing to the next slide by clicking on Next.

Hi Kate,

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. It took me a bit to find your case, I think there may have been some confusion with the case number. I was able to find it, though and I see that Cleo has been working with you on case 00306058 (just in case you need to reference it in the future).

I'm glad you were able to discover what was causing the issue and a work around for it! Thank you very much for keeping me updated, I appreciate it.

Have a great day
