Have you considered using a free form Drag and Drop, instead? It sounds like this may work better for you, if you'd like more control of the choice or match positions. I don't believe you can change the shuffle options for the matches with the built-in Matching Drag and Drop questions, so hopefully this will be an option that works for you.

I like the free form but it takes a lot longer so just wanted to see if it was possible to do with this one first. Thanks

You're right - it does take some time. The bonus to this, though, is that you have a lot of opportunity to customize the question.
