Drag and Drop Query
Apr 30, 2015
Hi
I am just learning Storyline and I have created a drag and drop scenario, which seems to work when I test the slide, but when I test the scene, the answer (built into a layer) does not show up, rather the slide moves onto the next slide.
The trigger i am using is "show layer correct when state of picture 4 is drop correct".
Any ideas of how I can stop the submit button working as a next button?
Thanks

Hi Nikola,
It seems that if you're using that trigger, you do not need a Submit button. So from the slide properties (the icon that looks like a wheel on the base layer) you should de-select the submit button. Assuming you have a "Continue" button on your "Correct" layer in order to let the Learner move on?
If you want the Learner to use the submit button, you'll need to delete the trigger you have and set a trigger that says "submit interaction when Learner clicks the Submit button." Others can help too if you post your .story file.
Hope that helps! - Margot
Thanks Margot - I found the button and unchecked it. But now my trigger does not seem to work at all. I am so confused. Why does the submit seem to act as a next button in the first place? I have attached a cut down version of my .story file.
Hopefully someone can help.
Thanks again
Please do the setting as shown in the figure, you need to uncheck Delay item drop states until nitration is submitted.
Also I have attached the updated story file.
