Hi all. Is there a way, when creating a Drap and Drop activity, to allow a "Drag item" to drop in more than one "Drag Target"? An example would be, I have a picture of a court room and I want to drag and drop various images to various locations. I have a picture of a winess that can be dropped in two locations. Is this possible?
It's definitely possible. For an example, insert a new slide, click on Templates & choose Top Interactions from the drop-down. You'll find a "Sorting Drag and Drop" template (trash can and a file cabinet) that should get you pointed in the right direction.
Hi Brain, what I'm really trying to do is to create an "or" situation. In the example you pointed me to "Note 1" had to be dropped onto Drop Target 1....is there an option to drag "Note 1" to either "Drop Target 1" or "Drop Target 2"?
That note could be dropped on either target. It's just that there are states set up so that if the Learner drops the note on the "wrong" target, the note turns red; if the Learner drops the target on the "correct" target the note turns green. But you don't have to create these states. And if you want to use this template, you can remove the states. Here's how:
Click on one of the notes.
In the Timeline pane, click on the States tab.
Click the Edit States button
Click on the "Drop Correct" note (the green one)
Click the red x in the toolbar to delete the note
click on the "Drop Incorrect" note (the red one)
Click the red x in the toolbar to delete the note
Repeat for all the notes.
By the way, you can control Drag Item Options by clicking the "Edit Drag and Drop" button in the question pane on the right.
