I want to set up an interaction where we ask users to rank a set of steps in order of completion from 1-5, where the answers for 1 and 5 are specific and must be in the correct place, but 2, 3, and 4 can be in any order. I know the Freeform Drag and Drop functionalities are pretty restricted so i'm wondering how else I can do this.
Hi there, Leeana! You could still use the Freeform Drag-and-Drop setup, and you can designate items 1 and 5 as the drag items, and their respective drop targets. Add the other drop targets, but without a drop item.
For the rest of the items, give them drop states and triggers so that they become draggable objects. This way, they can order 2, 3 and 4 how they'd like, but only get evaluated on putting 1 and 5 in the correct location. Check out this quick example (file attached).
