Hi, sorry if the answer to this is hiding somewhere in the previous posts, but the ones I've researched seem to be using old versions and I keep hitting a dead end. Using Storyline 360, I'm looking to have drag and drop groupings where multiple areas can be correct.
Is there a simple way to do this? Or am I going to have to do a bunch of coding with variables?
It's certainly possible, but it'll take a little creativity and a few triggers to make it work.
The trick is to use a Pick One interaction, where the Pick One objects are off the slide stage. Check out this sample I put together for you to see how you can set it up.
Hi Alyssa, I've used your example for a drag and drop activity, and keep getting an error popup stating, you must answer the question before submitting". any idea what this might be?
I just tried the example shared by Alyssa in Storyline 360 Update 40, and everything was working as expected.

Hi, I have succesfully recreated multiple options drag and drop with pick one interaction, thank you very much for that! but now have another question to solve: is it possible to set it up so that learner could place only one drag item on an drop area? Currently a learner can be put one drag item on top of the other, actually he can pile all the answers in one area for as long it is correct. Is it possible to fix this and how?
Thanks for reaching out and sharing what you are experiencing. I'm glad that to see that you were able to contact our support team as well and you are currently working with Vevette.

This was so cool and so helpful, Alyssa. Thank you; I used it as guidance to build a pretty cool drag-and-drop interaction today!
