Drag & Drop with Partial Score - Issue with "Target"

Jul 01, 2021

Hello!

First time poster here, and I have found so many answers through the discussion board, so thank you!

I have a single slide question with 13 items and 2 drag targets, and I have managed to get it so that it reports a correct score based on how many right items have been dragged to the right target (using this really helpful video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gFKFrfM4BUU). As there are 13 items I couldn't use the multiple choice workaround (as that only allowed a max of 10) so found this as an alternative (using a Pick One) (https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/maximum-number-of-choices-in-quiz). So far so good and it scores as intended, but!

When moving the items, they can only be dragged to the correct target and not the alternative wrong target. I would like it so that the items can be dragged to either target with only items in right targets scoring points.

I've attached my file here (coloured coded so you can see which item belongs in which target).

Is it possible?

Many thanks

Hi, Fiona, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ✨

I'm so happy to hear that the discussions in the community are helpful to you!

I checked your .story file and noticed you had the Drag return option checked for all your rectangles. Unchecking that option should help you achieve what you're looking for:

Let me know if this works!
