Drag item to slide behind rectangle which has the drop target behind it?

Sep 23, 2019

Hello,

I am building a drag/drop interaction in Storyline 360 but would like the drag item to appear behind an object (rectangle) but to trigger correct/incorrect if dragged onto the drop target (which is behind the rectangle).

There's a discussion on this from 4 years ago but I wondered if there has been any work around found since then? I've tried everything I can think of including adding a layer with objects to hide the drag object.

Basically I want the object to look like it's being dragged off the screen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi Lisa,

It sounds like you'd like to hide the drag object once it hits the drop target, is that correct? There's a simple way to do this that takes just a few steps:

1. First, add Drop Correct and Drop Incorrect states to your drag objects and delete the images from those states.

2. Then, in your Question Tools Design tab, click the Drag and Drop Options button on the top ribbon.

3. Finally, In the Feedback section, unselect Delay item drop steps until interaction is submitted.

Give it a shot and let me know how it goes! Also, I've attached the file in case you wanted to take a look.
