My final Quality check is to go through the course and interact with each opportunity just as a learner will. The purpose is quality control, but I manage to sneak a glance or two at the clock at the beginning and end.
It's my very last step, and I can't imagine releasing a project to the public without it.

We'll use the Duration field in the publish options sometimes. Check out Step 3 (of Step 2) in this link: https://community.articulate.com/series/74/articles/articulate-storyline-360-user-guide-how-to-publish-a-course-for-web#step2 But that may just be base slide timing.
More commonly, we use Script Timer here: https://www.edgestudio.com/production/words-to-time-calculator
I hope that helps!
