Does anyone know if it is possible to edit the states of a grouped object? I have a text box with a close button inserted on top. i grouped them together. But now i cannot control the behavior by editing the states of this new grouped object. I am going about this the wrong way? Basically i am trying to create a pop up box with a close button.
You won't be able to edit the states of grouped objects, but as Harriet mentioned placing them all into one image or picture may allow you the flexibility you need. You could add objects into a state though, so show more than one object later.

You might try saving the group as a picture, put it back into place on your slide, then edit that picture's states.
