If I want to edit an existing T/F variable and change it to a numeric variable, I can't do it because the choices in the middle line are grayed out. Do we just have to delete that one and make a new one or is there some other way to edit an existing variable? Thanks, Joyce
You've answered your own question. Yes, you'll have to delete a variable that has a different type than you intended. The purpose of greying out the type from editing is to prevent breaking any variable that already be in use. For instance, if your T/F variable was being used elsewhere a few times and you changed it to a number variable, it would break all instances.
