I am working on a project and I would like to make tabs/ buttons pictures of the product that they represent. Does anyone have any advice on how to do this in Storyline 2?
If you already have the images of the products you want to use, I suggest the following:
Select Insert tab
Select Controls, and choose square button.
Place button on slide in the size you want.
Right-click on button, and select Format Shape.
Select Picture or Texture fill.
At Insert from, click on File.
Locate the picture of the product you want in the explorer window that appears.
Click Open.
Click Close.
The Image will now be where your button was.
In order to make it behave more like a button select States and customize the hover, down, visited, and disabled as you wish. That may mean making a different version of the product or doing something as simple as adding an outline during the hover, and down state.

Here is a screenr that shows how to use images for various custom button states.
