Editing video in Step-By-Step mode

I am trying to amend the Start and End time for a slide of video in Step By Step mode, but I only appear to have one yellow marker rather than two, so cannot seem to set the timings as I wish: 
When I preview the slide it is static and not moving at all, although all other slides are behaving properly. Any ideas?

Hi there Jo,
From the looks of your yellow markers, it looks like they are positioned only two frames apart. Rather than using your mouse to drag them, can you try using the "Update Start Frame" and Update End Frame" options below the area you circled? Select either one, and then click the Previous Frame or Next Frame button to adjust the start or end. Does that help?
