I am using http://community.articulate.com/forums/p/14941/160702.aspx to create an email trigger with some pre populated text. It works like a charm but some users are getting a plug in error. Might the email script be causing this?
Are you able to determine if those users are accessing it through a particular browser? Also are you able to share what the error message reads here, as that may help in determining what could be causing the error.
I had to have hope that the error may tell me something....
In regards to it being a browser issue, it could be the browser itself, the flash version it's running or if Javascript is enabled, and since it sounds like it's not happening to everyone it's likely something user specific. If you're looking to gather all their information at once, I like to use the site supportdetails.com for a quick snapshot.

The error message image is attached (it's not very helpful I'm afraid.)
I've asked my client about the browser issue and will let you know but I don't believe it's unique to a particular browser.

There are some known reasons why the email trigger may not work, and they're generally user set up specific (or email program specific).
