Embed a PDF?

Hello, community!
I need to embed a PDF onto a course slide in Storyline so that it opens up as a PDF. The PDF has a button in it that opens up an email and attaches the PDF to the email.
I tried uploading the PDF to SharePoint and embedding a link to it in the course, however the button function in the PDF doesn't work when I do that, even if I instruct them to download the PDF first.
Any ideas from you brilliant folks are appreciated!
Shari

Hi, Shari,
You can attach a PDF using the Open URL/file trigger. That embeds the file within the published course files. The file opens when the user clicks the link (or whatever is used to execute the trigger).
FYI: Unfortunately, the user's browser settings will determine whether the file will open in a new browser window or a new browser tab. You can't control that from Storyline. (Well, I suppose you could with JavaScript. But I can't help you with that.)
Hi, Judy...
Thank you so much for the information...it was very helpful! Fingers crossed! :-)
This helped me today! I couldn't remember the process, and I got scared when I saw the URL pointing to our local server in the Resources editing window, instead of showing the PDF as "embedded" somehow. Now I see what it's doing and it makes sense. Whew! Thank you!
