I am making a course in storyline and I have some HP ART recording that I would like to embed...is this possible? Right now I have hyperlinks in Storyline pointing to the HP ART files....but I just worry about the links getting broken and would rather have the files embedded as part of the storyline course....
If you have all the files on your local drive that make up the recording, you can link to the launch page and once you publish, all these files become part of the content folder.
I did link to the launch page but it wasnt on my local drive the files were on SharePoint....so if I understand what you're saying....I need to have the ART files locally on my machine and link to them that way? How would I like to them...still using the hyperlink?

Yes, you would simply link to the local files instead to some remote URL.
I tried that and I published the file and put the zip on our SharePoint site....when I extract and run the file and I click on the link (which was done to my local machine) nothing happens....its the same thing that happens when I linked to the URL....
