Encounter a list of issues with Articulate Storyline recently
I am a Mac user, using Parallel Desktop 15 and Windows 10 ENT.
After recently update on Articulate Storyline, I encountered lots of problem.
1. Cannot import PowerPoint files (already update the windows service pack and make sure installed PowerPoint apps on the Windows )
2. When I create new project in Storyline, after inserting audio and try to add captioning. Errors came up, please see the attachment file.
3. When inserting images, it always shut off the software, I need to keep restarting.
I can't even work on Storyline 360 and the subscription renew is coming up.
Hello Evelyn,
Sorry to hear that you encountered issues after updating your Storyline 360 installation.
If the issue only started happening after updating Storyline 360 to the latest version, there are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the behavior:
- Do a repair of Storyline 360
- Downgrade your installation to a previous version
- Make sure that your Parallels is properly configured to run Articulate 360 software
If none of the above help, reach out to our support team by opening a case here so we can take a closer look at the behavior.
Let us know how it goes!

I asked my boss to upgrade to Parallel Desktop 18 now.
Same problem with Articulate still happening. Any help will be great!

The problem is not solved. I tried everything on my end.

I clicked on your first link to "Do repair of Storyline 360", I uninstall it.
Then, it asked me to update Articulate 360 first. More problem appears.
I uninstalled all Articulate 360 apps. Restart, then reinstall.
After that I can't even sign- in. When the app launch asks me to sign in, it will link it to the webpage, then I login as usual but the apps didn't sync. I am stuck right now.
Can't even launch the software after following the above steps.

Thanks Kelly. I hope Lejan can help. Let's me post what I have done so far and none of the issues were solved.
I tried my best and did all the methods. I put all the detailed steps below. Please note thatProblem 2 is more important. Since cannot import PPT, I can still work around it.But after inserted the audio and encountering the errors on edit captions. That is much bigger for me.-
I was using Parallel Desktop 15, my manager purchased the 18 versions.

Updated and Installed Parallel Desktop 18
-
I can open Windows 10 on my Mac now
-
But Storyline 360 problem was not solved
-
Windows updates are up to date
-
Uninstalled Articulate 360, restarted, reinstalled Articulate 360

I followed these instructions; it actually was getting worst and more problems but anyway seems to be ok now. I can open Parallel and Windows, then launch Articulate 360 to open Storyline 360 https://community.articulate.com/discussions/articulate-storyline/encounter-a-list-of-issues-with-articulate-storyline-recently#reply-826079

After launching Storyline 360, two problems still exist
-
Problem 1 - cannot import PowerPoint into Articulate (already installed PowerPoint on the Windows side)
-
Problem 2 - after insert audio and click on EDIT CAPTIONS, the non-stop error windows will keep appearing until you force closed Storyline 360
Already tried my best to go through the community page but none of them help.

I also make sure, I import the PowerPoint on the PC side not the Mac side.

Also, I found this https://articulate.com/support/article/Articulate-Storyline-360-How-to-Fix-Unexpected-or-Erratic-Behavior, tried already. The two problems still exist.

I also contacted IT on my school. They can't help, too. They said that seems to be Storyline problem.
