error message - how to resolve this

Received error "The file "Interactive-glossary_quiz.story" is being used by another process or you do not have the proper security permission to access this resource.   I always make a copy of my courses and the original and back-up both receive this error message.  Please advise, really need to use this course! Thanks for your help.  (using Storyline 3).

Hi Rita!

I'm sorry to hear you are having issues!  Try the following things and I hope one of them will solve your problem!: 

1) Duplicate the original file by creating a copy with a completely different file name
2) Make sure that the file is stored on your local drive and not on a network drive
3) Restart your computer
4) Import the slides from the original into a brand new project file
