are you working on your local drive not from a use or network drive and do you have all the assets for the projects stored locally as well before you publish?
Without seeing the error it's hard to see - but did you look into the elements such as working locally? Are you seeing this on all your .story files? If so, you may want to go through the repair steps detailed here.

File name length must be less than 260 characters

Where are you viewing your published output? You'll want to ensure you're viewing as described here and as Wendy mentioned ensure you're working on project files and publishing following these guidelines.

the problem is not only during publishing, it occurs also while prevewing the entire project.
when we publish the project, we send the link story.html
do you have maybe another idea where this error is comming from?
