Error when importing translated Xliff 1.2 file back into the project.

Jul 13, 2022

Storyline will not import the whole xliff file once it has been translated. It just comes up with an error. The details of the error I have attached to this ticket. I have tried to move things around in the project but it does not seem to make a difference.

Does anyone have an idea of what could be wrong?

The translation tool that I have used exports xliff 1.2 and articulate rise projects and these are not affected by the error.

Also, when exporting xliff 1.2 for Captivate projects, all seems to be fine after the translation tool does its job and we import this back into the project.

Hello Alex, and welcome to the E-Learning Heroes Community! ✨

I'm sorry to hear you are having trouble with your imported Xliff files.

In order to better assist you, I have a few additional questions:

  • Are you using Storyline 360 or Storyline 3?
  • Could you try using a different font within Storyline to see if this error still occurs?

I'd like to provide a few forum resources for you that might be of help depending on what application you are using:

Storyline 360: Translating Courses

Storyline 3: Translating Courses

If you are still having trouble, we'd be happy to take a look at your Storyline file and troubleshoot with you in this thread or privately in a support case. Whatever you are most comfortable with.

Have a great day!
