Evalution results extraction

May 08, 2016

Hi guys,

I have recently created a course which includes a content lesson, a quiz lesson and a post course evaluation lesson. I am now finding it difficult to extract the results from the evaluation portion of the course.

Using my LMS I can obtain the results from the quiz but not for the evaluation? Is there some setting I need to change while publishing the course or could the problem be with my LMS setup?

I have tried looking around for a resolution but can't seem to come up with anything.

Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Niall,

Are these all within one file and tracked by one final results slide? That would be what you'd be reporting and tracking to your LMS, and Storyline only supports tracking/reporting on one method, although you may want to review the information here in regards to some of the other options available - although please note that they're not supported by Articulate.

Hi Ashley,

Thanks so much for the reply!

They are separate lessons which I then put through my "Course Creator" software which links them all together to form a full course, which I then upload to my LMS.

So since they are technically separate lessons within the one course I would have though I would be able to track each lesson.

Hopefully I am just missing something whilst I am publishing.

I have attached my 3 lessons of the course to give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Thanks again!

Hi Niall,

I can't speak to your course creator software - but if they were all individual files and existed separately within your LMS, you would be able to track them all. But if you're linking them together and using one published output, you'll only be able to choose one tracking/reporting method as a part of the Publish for LMS window.

To clarify some of the language here, you could have more than one lesson in a file, and multiple lessons to make up a course, and more than one quiz in each lesson - but for the purposes of Articulate as long as it's in one file, it's all the same lesson/course/file - meaning it can only have one tracking/completion method. You can track multiple results slides with a master results slide as detailed here.
