Exam-Conclusion Part Problem
Jan 01, 2020
Hello everyone!
I need quick help with an exam in Articulate Storyline 2.
I want to create an exam consisting of 30 questions and 2 options for the questions. However, there is a difference in the conclusion part. If the Option A is chosen for the first question, the person gets the X Character. If Option B is chosen, they get the Y Character. If the Option A is chosen for the second question, they get the Z Character etc. So, the chosen option for each question leads to more than two characters. I have 5 characters for the conclusion part. How do I conclude from their answers which of the 5 characters the person?
I hope I was clear. It is complicated for me, too. If you have any questions, please ask them because I really need help. 😊
Thanks in advance.

Hi Birce!
You came to the right place for guidance! This can be done with variables.
Do you mind sharing your file so that we can offer more tailored advice? You can share the .story file with us by using the "Add Attachment" button in this discussion.
Hi Lauren,
Thanks for your prompt response :)
I am not sure that I can share the original exam, but I created something like the original. You can find it in attachment.
In this exam, you may think that character analysis is performed most of the columns in which options are selected more.
Thanks in advance!
Hi Birce,
Thanks for sharing that attachment and what you would like to see! Lauren's right, this is something you can create using variables. I've created a simple example of this by using numeric variables to count the selection when they submit each question, then using those totals to determine which trait is dominant.
This is just one way, but hopefully others in the community can offer their suggestions. Take a look at the variables/triggers in each slide of the attached file and let me know if you have any questions!
Hi Ren,
That was really great example and it worked!
Thanks for your effort.
