Exit Course

Hi Fang,

So two things - there are some known reasons why the exit course trigger doesn't work detailed here.  But also, if you're viewing the published content locally it may not work as expected. You'll want to ensure you're testing it by uploading the published content to the intended environment as described here.

I have read all the documents about this, and have tried some of the recommendations, only one working for me is open in a new window, which may have other implications

Has anyone come up with a simple work around?

• What version of Storyline are you using?
• Did you publish the file for LMS or web server?
• Where did you host the published output?

I am using SL2, Publishing in Scorm 2004 3rd Edition, published and zipped for LMS, on our LMS Docebo

Hi Colin.  Thanks for that information.  You mentioned trying the recommendations -- were you able to use the suggestion in the LMS section of this article that Ashley shared above?

The LMS might be overriding the trigger to close the course without that change.  I just wanted to confirm your troubleshooting so far.  Thanks!

I replaced both in the C Drive EXIT_BEHAVIOR = “ALWAYS_CLOSE & EXIT_BEHAVIOR = “ALWAYS_CLOSE_TOP , it didn't work, I republished and in the player selected to open in new window and that worked, but that can also cause problems as some web browsers stop pop up windows from opening

Do you experience the same issue when uploading/testing the content via SCORM Cloud as well or is this issue limited to your LMS?
