"Exit course when user clicks" stopped working after update
Jan 28, 2017
Hi everybody,
we have updated our storyline360 installation to the latest version yesterday. Unfortunately, this somehow must have broken the trigger "exit course when user clicks". We have implemented an exit button with that trigger on each slide. Before the update our button worked like a charm. After that the trigger didn't work anymore.
In the preview the trigger still performs as it should but when publishing the course, it is dead. Here is what we did for troubleshooting so far:
1.We tested the trigger on different kinds of elements (buttons and pictures).
2. We tested the published course with Firefox, Chrome and Windows Explorer.
3. We published the course using a different client (which was also updated yesterday).
4. We tested several options for exit behaviour in the config-file: SCORM-RECOMMENDED, ALWAYS CLOSE and ALWAYS CLOSE TOP.
5. We tested both, Flash and HTML5.
Nothing did the trick. The button remains dead. I'm pretty sure, this issue is somehow connected to yesterdays update, since we haven't had this problem before.
Any ideas on how to solve this?
Thanks in advance!

Problem solved: We managed to revive the exit trigger by publishing the course in SCROM 2004. The issue remains when publishing in SCORM 1.2. Another workaround would be to configure the Storyline player to launch in a new window. Unfortunately this creates a launch page, which wasn't an option for us.
