Experience with Storyline 1 and either TTN Elan or SumTotal Maestro LMS?

May 28, 2015

Hello, I'm leading a project to review and evaluate LMS providers.  A couple that we like are TTN Elan and SumTotal Maestro.  But a deal breaker will be if the LMS and Storyline don't work together well.  I'm very interested in hearing about any experience you've had with either of these LMS options and Storyline.

Lisa,

I can't speak to Storyline as we use Studio 13.  Our company will be implementing TTN's Elan product and I have been tasked with testing the SCORM interaction.  So far it seems to work well, the courses are easy to upload, they open and perform as they should.  Tracking completion has been a little sticky with regards to using slide views vs. quiz scores but I am working that out with their tech support.  As far as the company itself, I have been very pleased with their responsiveness to questions and issues.

Hope this helps a little bit.

We don't use Storyline in our department but some of our others do. We also recently launched TTN elan as our LMS. There is no way to get detailed information when a user completes a quiz that is part of a SCORM course and I don't think it matters which authoring tool you use. You can track if they took the course but if you need to know how they answered questions, TTN elan will not be able to provide that. It is something I hope they will include in the future.
