Tap Works
Hi Everyone,
I'm working on an Expert Answer interactive for a GradEd course. I've added a restart button at the end and it works fine as far as going to the beginning of the interactive but I'd like it to also reset all the text that was typed in by the student. Does anyone know how to do that in Storyline?
Here is the Expert Answer interactive, http://wip.kaplan.edu.edgesuite.net/bus-ist/Patricia/ED507/ED507_U1_ExpertAnswer/story.html
The first text box is on the 3rd slide.
Thanks for your help

I haven't tested this yet, but this is what I would try.
Set up a text variable called "Empty." Leave its contents empty.
Then on the same action that restarts the course, put this trigger FIRST.
Repeat that trigger for each variable you want to make Empty. Set these triggers above the Restart trigger, on the event.
You'll need to setup triggers for all of the variables you want to reset and set each one to blank (delete the string from the trigger contents) to clear them out. Each entry field is tied to a variable when it's created.
Meryem M and Steve Flowers,
Thank you both, it worked for me. I tried Steve advice first and it worked right away. But I will saved both idea's for the future. Thank you both very much again.
