Can I export my captions from Storyline, spell check, search and replace words (utilize/use) and fix them and then re-import them, to clean up typos etc? I'm working on a 1 hour video, with nearly 10,000 words captioned.
I don't see how to used the spell check in the Closed Caption Editor? I was just wondering if anyone else has tried exporting captions for a video, editing (fixing) the text and re-importing the captions?
Hi there, Todd! When you open your captions editor, you'll see that you can export your captions. They export as a .vtt file, which you can open in Notepad on Windows. You can also open that file in Word, though you'll receive a few warnings about formatting.
You'll do this for each slide. Here's a Peek demo of how I used Notepad.
Darn, I imported the corrected text and it all appears correctly in the editor but when I preview the slide or publish, the CC button does not appear? Any thoughts?
Sorry, it eventually showed up? Very weird. Thank you all for the help. This project turned out great and will help US Veterans get better health care.

Hi, Todd.
Haven't personally used this function but I believe there is. Should be under File>Translations
Also, there's a spell check function within the menu:
Hope these help! :)

That was precisely what I was looking for. Thank you so much!
Glad that was able to help you out Todd. I appreciate you confirming :) Enjoy your weekend!

Oh no, Todd! Do you have the Caption button selected in your Player Properties?
