Subtitles (i.e. Captions) must be exported by individual audio clip since the captions are attached in SL to the clips themselves.
As a matter of habit I always put the narration in the NOTES for each slide as well. This way when I want to publish, I can publish directly to WORD with the Notes and get the printout included and spaced out next to each slide image, PowerPoint style.
