Hi,
I am wondering if it is possible to have a non-trackable question in the body of the lesson, where the learner will get two attempts to correctly answer the question. If they get the 1st attempt incorrect, a text box will popup and say "incorrect: try again". When the learner trys again and they get the 2nd attempt incorrect, the correct answer will popup in the feedback of the incorrect attempt.
Is this possibele? I am not sure how to go ahead with this? Thanks.

Once you have changed the attempts to 2, you will see an option for a try again feedback. You can then change the feedback as desired.
Thank you, the only thing is that I would like to have two feedback options per feedback. Is that possible?
Hi Ashley,
I think you could achieve this with an answer that is initially hidden on the incorrect layer and using the attempt count variable that is automatically created by SL when you change the attempt count to more than one.
Go to Incorrect Layer
So, you'd place the answer on the incorrect layer and set it's initial state to hidden.
Then, create new trigger:
Action: Change state of
On object: this would be the "hidden" answer you created above
To state: normal
When: timeline starts
Object: Incorrect
Click the Show Condition link and then the plus sign
List: Variable option is active
If: AttemptCount
Operator: Equal to
Value: 2
I can upload a quick and dirty story if that would help
Great, thank you for your help.
Hey Rebecca,
I'm dealing with this exact request and this is a great solution! Thanks so much for posting it!

Hi Jamie,
Glad it worked for you and thanks so much for posting. Made my weekend - hope you have a good one.
Hello Everyone,
Is it possible to have a non-trackable question in the body of the lesson, where the learner will get two attempts to correctly answer the question. I understood that this can be done in Storyline. But, is it possible to achieve the same functionality in Quizmaker?
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
