File runs locally but not on website, help!!!

  I think there is something in the programming of the current course I am developing, which is preventing the Next button from appearing when run from the website.      

 

I am 100% sure that the website files are updated (I deleted and re-uploaded, and made sure that there is no caching occurring).

I am 100% sure that the course files are the desired ones (when opening locally, I can see the Next button appear immediately).

I am 100% sure that there is something different occurring based on whether we are running from the website or locally.  (I downloaded the files from the website and the Next button appeared when I opened it locally).

 

My guess is that it is somehow based on the URL.

Works:   file:///C:/Users/aarmond/ Downloads/trial_SA_2018/SA_ 2018/story_html5.html

Does not work: https://www. nativeintelligence.com/sites/ default/files/demo/SA_2018/ story_html5.html

 

 

Perhaps the local://  vs https://  ?
