File size with videos

Hi,
We are building a course that includes several videos. After importing a number of large videos I realized the file size had balooned to over 8gb!
At that point, I edited down/trimmed the videos to just the required duration. And after that exported all the videos and compressed them w/ Adobe Media Encoder before incorporating them back into the course.
At this point, the media library file sizes seem normal (only a few over 100mb) but still the file size is close to 9gb?
Does anyone know what I can do to get the file size down. The large files are now longer showing up in the Media Library but maybe are still somehow in the file source (and so keeping the file size so large, etc.)
Any help on this is greatly appreciated!

did you save your .story file at least twice after updating the videos ?
old/unused media elements are not really removed until the second save
Thanks for the reply. We tried that and also tried saving the file as a template then importing the slides into a new file. Still at over 6gb?!
Hi Joe,
Would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we check why the file size of your course is at the observed size? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
Thank you and done, case number is: 03545015
