Hi, Jennifer - So you have worked on your course recently, you say? Try opening a new Storyline file and on the left and side of the screen, you should see a "Recents" column. Please check to see if it was saved there, and you should be able to auto recover it.
I'm sorry to hear you're unable to locate your files as well! Hopefully you haven't deleted them, but if you did, you can check your temporary files to see if you can locate a recent copy.
Here's how to check:
Open this folder in Windows Explorer: %appdata%\Articulate\Storyline
Scan the contents of this folder for a file that starts with the name of your project. If you find one, copy it to your desktop. If you find more than one, copy the latest version to your desktop.
Change the file extension of the copy on your desktop from *.tmp to *.story.
Double-click the file to open it in Storyline.
I hope something pops up and you're able to continue working!
