Flash Based Issues

We know that flash based content is not supported anymore, however, there are courses in our LMS right now in which the volume is working, but the visuals are not. This seems to be some sort of residual flash based issue. 

The previous leader of the team updated Storyline courses to use html versions of these courses in the LMS. What seems to be happening is that there is still some sort of call to flash based content in the launch even though it should be called to html. My only assumption is that flash is not 'completely gone', but phased out. There is no way to disable flash so that is not looking in that direction. The unfortunate part is that I no longer have access to the source files, so I am not able to update through Storyline.

Has anyone else seen this issue/does anyone know how to help resolve course issues that have volume, but no visual/possibly help recode to not look for flash at all.
