Font size issues and bullet errors, scrambled images

Our team has noticed an annoying bug that's been constantly creating issues amongst our projects.  Sometimes when we reopen Storyline files for edits, the font will randomly change sizes in random places and is becoming a major issue, especially around deadlines for clients (yes, it is the same font; it's not replacing it with a new one).  We suspect it happens when a file is created in Win 7 and opened in Win8 but we're not 100 percent sure.

Another weird incident that occasionally happens when being reopened is that the images and text will suddenly get scrambled about a page.   It doesn't seem to be affected by the Win7 to Win8 transition as it has occurred when using the same PC for the entire production.

There are also some really irritating bullet errors that I've seen where the last bullet in a list will big large, change color, or become distorted (oval shaped) and there's no way to fix it.  We've tried retyping content in a completely new text box but no luck. 

Does anyone know what's causing these issues and if there's any way to fix them?
