Forcing all choices

Jun 27, 2012

What is the best way in Storyline to make sure the user clicks on all options before continuing to the next slide.

I have made layers for each option, but cannot determine how to hide Next/Previous from the layer.

Thanks!

Hi Carol,

Depending on what you want to look at there are different ways to do it.

The easier is to put a condition on the Next button using the "options" visited states.

To do so, you need to add a "visited" state or any other state that you choose or create to the options.

Then, you make sure that when the user clicks on an option, it changes to the wanted state.

Then, you add the condition to the next button saying Jump to the next slide when option 1, 2, 3, and so on are "Visited".

Don't hesitate if you need further information. As I told you, this is the easiest way but you could also do it with variables.

Hope it helps and have a nice day!

Annie
