Forward and back buttons disapearing when iPad is at vertical

Jun 26, 2019

Hello !

Sorry if the problem was already discussed... but I didn't find the information.

We just received a new training from a supplier that was produced in SCORM 2004.

When we take a look to the coures using an iPAD, we don't see at the bottom righ the arrows to to back or to go forward.    When the iPAD is used at the horizontal, then the buttons appear.

On the vertical side, we don't see the forward button but when we click there on the black zone, we can go forward  (looks like the button is there, but invisible).

Did anyone already saw that issue ?

Thank you !

Hi Bruno,

It sounds like you are viewing a Storyline course on an iPad and when the iPad is in vertical mode it doesn't display the "forward" button.

Let's start with what version of Storyline you are using? It's also helpful to know, which iPad and iOS system you are using. This article walks you through finding that information if you need help. Lastly, are you using a classic or modern player

Are you able to share a copy of your file with us? If so, you can upload at this link using the Add Attachment button or you always have an option to share privately with our Support Engineers. Either way, we'll delete it when done testing.

Good afternoon Lauren,

Thank you very, very much for your time:   sorry for the delay to answer you back as it is a very busy period in my department these days.

As the module was not developed by us and we are in a rush to publish, we will only put a comment to watch the training with the iPad in horizontal.    I will later investigate further with our supplier.

It looks like that something turned wrong with iPad recently as a few of our trainings are not opening at all... I will investigate on this in priority (that won't be the first time that an update on iPad is causing us issues).

I will take a closer look to the modern player... I think this could be interesting to investigate.

Thank you again for your time, very appreciated!
