Freeform options in Storyline
Jan 20, 2016
Hi,
Just wondering if there is an option to add a freeform area to a slide, so that users draw over it using their mouse. Similar to using Paint I suppose!
I'm imagining just a blank square to draw in and the option for the user to drag the mouse around the screen to create shapes or words.
I'm not sure if this is even possible, but I couldnt think how of to do this in Storyline and wondered if anybody had created something similar?
Thanks!
Sophie

Hi, Sophie -- Many thanks for your question! I am not currently aware of a way to have users "draw" with their mouse in SL2, but you may want to take a look at this older thread where a similar request was made and some workaround options are offered. You are also welcome to post over in our Building Better Courses forum for additional design ideas! :)
Hi Sophie
not sure if this is remotely what you are after but might give you some ideas.
You could change the arrow to a pencil.
Hi Christie and Wendy,
Thanks for replying to my question. It's a shame Storyline doesn't have this feature built in! Thanks for your suggestions though. I think I'll have a play around on Storyline and see what I can do.
