Freeform Question Results

Dec 20, 2021

Good morning,

I am stumped.  I created a course with 4 scenario based questions. The answers are basically good, better, best with specific feedback for each.  I don't want them to have to use a submit button, so I added triggers to each answer to submit the interaction (I used a freeform multiple choice).  The questions are set up with 3 possible choices and 3 attempts, so they should eventually get to the BEST answer.   We want to see the answers they select in reporting, but don't necessarily want the course to be graded, so in tracking options, I've selected both final assessment, and 75% slides viewed. I published to SCORM 2004 3rd edition as complete/incomplete and a passing score of zero.   It seems in order to view the selected answers, I do have to push through the results slide to our LMS.  My issue is I keep getting the results as complete but shows as a failure.  How do I make it show as successful?

You ideally would have a submit button as the way Storyline navigates the questions they will not be accessible without one.

If you use a results slide a score will get sent (unless you use a Survey results slide). For tracking it will be whichever criteria is met first so either 75% or the final assessment.

The freeform questions are graded (have a correct or incorrect answer)  so you may be better off using survey questions as these are not. You may however, be able to set the pass rate as 0% on the results slide and get pass sent through
