Freeform Text Entry Custom Layer

Sep 20, 2023

Hello all I'm new to Articulate I've been working in it since May. I am currently creating an eLearning training and I am using Freeform text entry when the user enters their answer, I want a custom slide to show the Correct and Incorrect layers. however, when the users click submit it doesn't allow the slides to show. I have that same issue when I used the multiple-choice option and wanted custom slide layers to display correct and Incorrect layers. I have created triggers that prompts to show the layers as well as advance to next slide hide slide layer etc. Any help with finding how to display custom slide layers with these options would be appreciated.

Hello Charlottie, would you be willing to share your project file here so that someone can take a look and assist you with?

Regarding the multiple-choice question, are you using the default MC or a custom built MC by creating radio buttons? If it's a default interaction, you don't need to add triggers to display the feedback layers and a trigger that advances the slide to the next slide.

Hi Charlottie!

Welcome to authoring in Articulate 360 and the E-Learning Heroes community!

It sounds like the custom feedback layers you created aren't appearing when a learner clicks the submit button. I see that Sandeep has been helping out and that you've also opened a support case. Great move! It looks like you've connected with my colleague Lejan. You're in excellent hands working with him!

We can continue this conversation over in your support case to keep all information in one spot.
