Getting a "The File Exists" error
May 02, 2016
Hi all,
I hope you're all doing well.
I set up a .story file that I wanted to use as a cover page for short teleconferences. Every time I try to use Save As, I get an error message that says "The File exists." See attached. The file does get saved (can see it in Windows Explorer), but it doesn't open in Storyline. Then, when I go into Windows Explorer to delete, just clicking once on the file gives me a blue crash screen and reboots my computer.
Has anyone had this happen before? Any troubleshooting ideas?
Thanks!

fyi I went ahead and opened a support ticket. It happened on a second file I tried to create. I think they're probably going to tell me to uninstall/reinstall.
Thanks,
Hi Cheryl!
Thanks for letting us know that you reached out to the support team (00784777) and it looks like you should be hearing from Renato soon.
Very interesting. It appears this was happening because I was working on a network drive. Once I moved the file to my C: drive, I didn't have any further issues.
Thanks!
Very good. Thanks for sharing Cheryl.
