Green Hover state for condensed text in button
Jun 04, 2021
Hi. I have a drag-and-drop quiz interaction with a set of 5 buttons to be dragged. The label/answer for the last item was a bit too long for the button, so I condensed the text by .6 pts. Now, when I preview the slide and roll over that button, the text turns green and stays that way while it is being dragged, and turns a green-brown in the target area. There is no hover state defined in the States setting.
I tried testing that it was caused by the condensing by similarly condensing the 4th button, which started doing the same thing. But when I removed the condensing from the 4th button, the green hover issue remained. I tried using format painter to match it to the format of another, unaffected button, but that didn't fix it. I also tried shutting down Storyline 360 and restarting it.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening? I am attaching the slide.

Hello, CFDE.
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your .story file!
I checked your project and confirmed the issues with the 4th and 5th buttons, so I went ahead and opened a support case on your behalf. You should hear from our team soon via e-mail.
Thank you, Maria. I had a note back from Dexter in Articulate Support this morning. He found that I had somehow inserted hyperlinks in the text of the drag and drop buttons. I didn't even know you could do that! I suspect those links came over when I cut and pasted the text content from an instructor's PPT slides (so that I could be sure I did not mistype the complex medical terms). Dexter has removed the hyperlinks and sent me a screenshot on how to do it myself.
All fixed! Thank you!
