Any updates or responses to this? I'm looking at having a menu tab with slides containing standard operating procedures (SOP) that the participant could print if needed.
No, only the course developer can publish slides to Word and add the file as a resource to the course. This would work if you had a particular set of slides each participant needs to print.
If you want learners to choose which slides they want to print, you'll want to use the widgit Leslie suggested.
What would you suggest as the best way to make 12 standard operating procedures available to the learner? I was thinking I could put them under the Resource tab and the student could print for reference. The more I'm looking into this, it doesn't look like it is an easy process. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I will try the widget when I get to the Storyline development, I'm still in the Storyboard process right now.
I think the easiest way would be to export your slides to Word, save the file as a PDF, and link in the Resource tab. Here's some more information on attaching resources.

Hi Kim! I thought it was a strange coincidence that I had two questions about this widget in the same day :) I just popped in to assist you here.
Hi there Kim! A great tool to accomplish this goal is to publish to Word so that you can share this content with your learners.
Thanks for the quick response! Can the learner select certain slides from Storyline to publish to Word? If so, how do they do that?

Hi Kim - the publish to Word would be available to the developer of the course, not the learner.
