I created a very simple course with 5, 2-question tests. Each test has its own result slide and there's a final result slide (calculating the final result from the 5 result slides). The final result is set to require the learner to pass all 5 quizzes with an 80% score to pass.
The final result slide seems to be working correctly in that it's showing the correct score for each of the 5 quizzes. However, when the first 4 quizzes are passed, it sends the LMS a passing code even if the 5th quiz is not passing.
I ran this through the SCORM Cloud for testing, and when failing the final test, it is showing a Failed status.
You may want to look at this article for troubleshooting your LMS, or maybe reach ou to the LMS team to see if they may be able to look at their settings.
Also, you may want to share which LMS you are using in case others in the community may be of assistance.
Can you please retest it by taking tests 1-4 and then quitting the course. What I see happening is the LMS is giving me a pass status after tests 1-4 are passed, but the user did not take Test 5 yet.
Here's what my LMS team is telling me:
The issue is that it’s allowing the user to go from one test to another without passing the initial or prior test. This is possible because of the outline/menu and the Next button. Is it possible to prevent a person from proceeding to the next test until they pass the test they are on? Maybe remove the next button on the results slide and hide the outline/menu? That might be a workaround until Articulate comes up with a fix?
Now, I like to give my learners optimum freedom. I don't want to restrict them from jumping around in the course.
If you have 2 question slides reporting to a single Results slide, the weighted points would be 50 each in order to obtain 100% for that Results slide. All others (4) would need the same weight per question.
The final Results slide would then calculate 80% or 8 of the 10 total questions. Not seeing it but wondering if the weighted points across all 10 question slides is somehow conflicting with the final Results slide in the way it calculates?
I did test this again in the SCORM Cloud and after leaving the course after test 4 - it is showing 80% and no pass or fail: You may need to have a setting changed in your LMS.
If you wanted to stop a user from going to a quiz without completing/passing you could set the player properties to locked, or restricted - this will stop the from navigating in the menu. You could also change the "next button" triggers in the results slide to jump to the next quiz on condition that the resultsScore is greater than the passing score, and have them jump back to retake that quiz if the results score is less than the passing score:
You may want to test it in the SCORM Cloud with the link above to see how the course should be acting as well. You could take those results to your LMS team.
The SCORM Cloud is the industry standard for testing SCORM content. When you see something not working right in you LMS, it is good to double check the expected behavior there.
I took your advise and tested my course content in SCORM cloud. Now my LMS team is investigating the issue. So many of my courses have multiple tests in them rolling up to a final result slide. I really hope they can fix this issue.

Just taking a guess here.

Thanks so much for your help, Emily.
I'll make some changes and then retest.
Hi Liz,
You may want to test it in the SCORM Cloud with the link above to see how the course should be acting as well. You could take those results to your LMS team.
Oh wonderful! I didn't know I had that option.
That will really help me.
Thanks.

Good luck, I hope they can get it sorted for you soon!
