Having Individual Shapes Make a Picture
Nov 10, 2017
Hi,
This has been a difficult concept for me to explain, but I'm hoping I will get some answers here. I am trying to create a dynamic picture made up of hexagons, please see my example picture. The picture attached was created in Photoshop and is simply just layers and was imported into Articulate as a picture so it is not editable at all within Articulate. My dilemma is, I want to have each hexagon be it's own individual shape, but still have the image in the background and I want to add animation to the shapes so they flip over. So basically when the user enters the slide the hexagons will flip over one by one and reveal the image. I know this is complex, but I'm really hoping someone can shed some light or at least give me some kind of work around. Thanks.

Hi Sam
can you import each piece of the picture into SL as separate objects then arrange / animate them?
Hi Wendy,
That's a great idea, but I am just not sure how to do that since to save the image in Photoshop I have to flatten the layers and it then becomes one solid layer. I guess I could isolate each piece of the picture and save that as a file...hmmm, I'm going to try this. Thanks Wendy!
Hey Sam
I'm no Photoshop expert either but if you can isolate each piece and try to keep the dimensions similar it will make it easier to slot together once you get it into SL - good luck - let me know how you go.
