Hello

Is it possible for a Caption box to appear in a place on my slide and the after a few seconds move down the slide.

Thank you

Hi Ken!

I wanted to take a minute to share a suggestion for what you're trying to accomplish here. You can place different copies of the caption along different points of the timeline, so it looks like the caption is moving down, or wherever you'd like it to move. You can change the content, so it looks like more content is being added, or you can just keep the same text in the caption.

I'm attaching a very quick rough draft of an example, take a look. Hopefully this will give you some ideas for this project.

I'm sure there are other ways you can do this, just wanted to share this idea with you. I'm curious to see how your project ends up!

Thanks!

Hi Ken - there is no motion path animation so you have to be a little creative to make things appear as if they are moving.  I have attached a story file that shows 2 different ways to achive the effect you want.

On  the first slide, I added a custom "down" state to my caption. On the done state, I simply placed the caption further down the slide. I  then added an symbol off screen at the 3 second mark and added a trigger to change the state of the caption to down when the timeline starts.

On the second slide, I created a layer and placed the down caption on that layer (I added a little animation to the caption on this one).  On the main layer, I still have the symbol offscreen but this time the trigger says to show the layer when the timeline starts.
