Help importing the free 'button' and 'graphics' from Downloads

Sep 04, 2012

Dear people,

I downloaded some beautifull button's and graphics from the Downloads section.

My question is, can I import these buttons as a button set in the right size?

Or do I have to make button's for each picture in the right size myself.

Thanks

Hi Athena!

Great question. Once you add the button sets to a slide, here's how to add the objects to a button set:

  1. Select the objects you want to add to a button set.
  2. Right-click them and scroll to Button Set.
  3. Choose either Button Set 1 (the default button set for every slide) or New Set. If you create a new set, enter a name for your button set and click Add.

If you want to add more objects to an existing button set later, right-click the objects, scroll to Button Set, and choose the button set you want to use.

Let me know if you have additional questions!

Thanks, Lauren, but this does not answer my question. I asked how to import button sets and graphics from the downloads section. The only way I can find to get them into Storyline is to insert them as images, which does not allow me to edit their colors. Can they be imported in a manner that allows me to edit their colors?

Hi Athena,

I searched for button sets in the downloads section, and I see that they are all in .story files. Is that what you see as well?

Opening the .story project file will allow you to see how the button was created and copy/paste to use as needed and customize in your course. There is no way to add custom button sets to your Insert > Button menu item in the Storyline ribbon.
