Help: LMS API History

Hi all,

I have a rather complex navigation in one of my courses (course is on aviationregulation, with a lot of hyperlinks, lightboxes with navigation, different scenes...)
We try to avoid users getting lost in the course, but hey sometimes it is too complex.

So it would be nice to have a breadcrumb trail depicting how the user got to this particular part in the course.
I already asked the question in the forum, but few to no responses. Still chewing on this issue, I was wondering whether I could use one of the API functions of our LMS.

Articulate keeps track what the previous slides were, so somewhere this information must be stored. Is this done in the LMS or elsewhere and, can I access this ?

Another way of dealing with users getting lost in the course is by giving them a sitemap. Any ideas on this ?

It doesn’t need to be interactive, yet it would be nice
